🌳 News & Updates![]() THIS WEEK CAASPP Testing: All 11th graders will participate in CAASPP testing in English, math and science on April 14-17 and April 22. Students will need to be available from 9-10:45am and 11:15-1pm during those days for online testing with their Sage Oak Chromebook. All Sage Oak live class sessions are recorded and can be viewed in the Canvas Recording module. ![]() Climate Storytelling Contest: The California Coastal Commission invites CA high school students to create a podcast, photo essay, or narrative essay that answers the question: What Are Your Feelings Towards Climate Change? How Can Those Feelings Be Turned Into Action? Deadline May 29th. Details HERE. ![]() CPR Certification: Knowing how to respond during an emergency is valuable for everyone to know, including those who babysit or work around children. We have multiple opportunities for students interested in getting hands-on training and a two-year CPR certification: 1. Our Child Development Club is hosting a CPR Certification course on Friday, May 9th from 8:45am-1pm at Brookside Park in Redlands. The cost is $50 (no IFs). Please submit this form if you are interested in attending. Only 12 spots available. 2. The Red Cross Club is also sharing a list of locations around Southern California where students can sign up to get certified along with a coupon code. Order yours HERE. 🎓 CLASS OF 2025 🎓 ![]() DUE FRIDAY Graduation Tickets: All graduates and their families should submit the Graduation Guest Ticket Request form once by Friday, April 25th. See the Graduation Ticket FAQ for additional details. -All grads will receive 6 tickets for guests. -If you do not need 6 tickets, you may request fewer tickets. -If you are hoping for additional tickets, you can request on the form. We will only be able to issue extra tickets if others don’t request all of their tickets. We are hoping to let families know by May 2nd if we can issue additional tickets. Senior Yearbook Dedications: Parents – you can share a memorable dedication to your graduate in the Sage Oak Yearbook! Dedications are FREE and can be submitted HERE. 🔦 Student Spotlight Welcome to our Student Spotlight where we highlight some of our amazing high school students and their accomplishments in and outside of the classroom! ![]() When Sage Oak 11th grader Thomas Sullivan is not working on homework, you’ll probably find him on his bike. Thomas won his division in the Redlands Bicycle Classic in this month. He took first in stage 1 of the race with almost a 2 minute lead over 2nd place! He took the yellow jersey (most points overall each day) for all 3 stages and won the Junior Classic, thanks to the teamwork of his team. He was invited to Europe later this month to race with the USA Junior National Cycling Team in the Czech Republic! Thomas participates in the Sage Oak-Crafton Hills dual enrollment partnership courses so he can get a headstart on achieving his post-high school goals and is interested in pursuing fire science at the Crafton Hills College Fire Academy.
