(Release Date: August 27 at 12:00 noon)
This event is for 4th-12th grade PLA and VLA Sage Oak students ONLY. This is a drop off, overnight event.
At Pali Institute, students in grades 4–12 will explore science, leadership, and outdoor education through hands-on, engaging activities that go far beyond the classroom. Pali’s professional instructors bring textbooks to life with immersive, experiential lessons that spark curiosity and confidence. Each day is packed with fun, learning, and connection. Students stay in comfortable mountain cabins equipped with radiant floor heating, private bathrooms, and cozy wood bunks. Trained instructors are housed in cabins with students to ensure safety, supervision, and support 24/7.
Roommate requests will be considered, and students are grouped by age, grade, and gender. There’s plenty of time throughout the trip to connect with old friends and make new ones!
Please note: Students in grades 4th–8th and high school students (grades 9–12) will be in SEPARATE programs and have separate cabin arrangements. Each group will have its own schedule and activities designed just for their age group.
The focus of the Pali program is team building and activities that will meet science, social studies, language arts, and PE standards. Examples of courses offered in the past have been high ropes course, archery, kraken squid dissection, animal survival, living fossils, and much more! Please see course descriptions for more detailed information. Specific adventure activity details are coming soon!
See the For Parents section of the Pali Institute website for more valuable information on trip preparation, what to expect, food, classes, FAQs, and more!
