This event is for 3rd-12th grade PLA students and their families. Children younger than 3rd grade are not permitted to attend. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
Visit the UCI Medical Research Lab for a tour and exciting medical demonstration. The guides will discuss Alzheimer’s, risk factors, and research at UCI MIND followed a neuroanatomy demonstration with the tissue repository team. Students 14 and older will participate in the demonstration in the lab. Due to safety regulations, students under 14 cannot enter the lab for the demonstration, but will have an alternative age appropriate demonstration in the classroom. Afterwards, you have the option to participate in a self-guided tour of the UCI campus as part of a college visit.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
