(PLA) Torrey Pines Ocean, Whales and Dolphins Docent-Led School Program

This event is for Kindergarten-12th grade PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
Dive into marine science with the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve docents! This engaging, hands-on field trip introduces students to the fascinating world of ocean life, whale migration, and dolphin behavior while overlooking the stunning Pacific coastline. Through interactive lessons and observation activities, students will gain insight into marine ecosystems and explore marine biology as a potential career path. This program encourages curiosity, conservation awareness, and a deeper appreciation for the ocean and its incredible inhabitants.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
