This event is for Sage Oak students and Siblings. This field trip is DROP OFF only. Recommended for Sage Oak Students grades 5th-8th only.
In “Sculpt & Spin: Handbuilding and Wheel Throwing in Clay” students will dive into the exciting world of pottery! This class introduces the basics of hand building, where students will craft a unique clay project while learning essential pottery techniques. They’ll also explore pottery terms and studio safety, ensuring a fun and safe creative experience. The highlight of the class is working on the potter’s wheel at the location of “Muddy’s Studio” in Santa Ana where students will learn to create and take home fired pieces. Perfect for beginners, this hands-on class offers a creative adventure into the art of clay!
Group 1 is from 8:00am-10:30am
Group 2 is from 10:30am-1:00pm
*Please note your student’s creations will be glazed by the studio at a later date and will need to be picked by families when completed.
Sage Oak Student Ticket (grades 5th-8th only): $25
Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
