(PLA) Ronald McDonald House Pasadena: Volunteer Opportunity

This event is recommended for 6th grade PLA students and their families. All students must be 12 years old or above and accompanied by an adult.
Join Sage Oak friends to serve our community at the Ronald McDonald House in Pasadena. The Ronald McDonald House is a haven for families with children in the hospital. It provides all the comforts of home, plus the compassion of staff, volunteers, and other families — all just steps away from the hospital. Our group will be working on campus beautification to help provide a peaceful place for families to rest. Our volunteer tasks may involve light yardwork, cleaning, and possibly the organizing storage areas depending on the needs at the time.
This field trip is free, but due to limited capacity tickets must be claimed below in order to attend.
Accompanying adult tickets are required, Please be sure to claim an adult ticket. Students and siblings may not attend without an accompanying adult.
ALL WAITLISTS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT 8AM ON JANUARY 21.
Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
