This event is for K-12th grade PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
During this exciting and educational field trip to the local fire department, students will get a behind-the-scenes look at how firefighters protect the community. They will tour the fire station, explore firefighting equipment and trucks, and learn about fire safety and emergency response. A special focus will be placed on the career of a firefighter, including the training, skills, and teamwork required to succeed in this vital public service role. Students will also discover related careers such as paramedics, dispatchers, and fire inspectors, gaining valuable insight into the many ways people can serve and protect their communities.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.

Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
