(PLA only) AMOCA – American Museum of Ceramic Art

This event is for TK-8th grade PLA students and their families.  All students must be accompanied by an adult.

Highlights of the Field Trip:
Docent-Led Tour: Students will embark on a guided journey through the museum's fascinating exhibitions, learning about the rich history and diverse techniques of ceramic art. Our knowledgeable docents will engage students with interactive discussions and answer their questions.
Gallery Activity: After the tour, students will participate in a hands-on gallery activity that encourages observation and critical thinking. They will explore different aspects of ceramic art while fostering teamwork and creativity.

Hands-On Air-Dry Clay Experience: The highlight of the trip is the opportunity for students to create their own art using air-dry clay! This hands-on experience allows them to express their creativity and take home a unique piece of art.

Lunch:
We will have a 30-minute lunch after the tour. Tables and chairs will be provided, so please be sure to bring a sack lunch for your students to enjoy!

Sage Oak Student Ticket: $15
Sibling Ticket: $15
Adult Ticket: $15

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds:  Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.

Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent."
