(PLA) Knott’s Berry Farm: Early California and Old West Tour (6th-12th grades)

This event is for 6th-12th grade PLA students and their families. All students* must be accompanied by an adult. If you have another student participating in a different tour and have already purchased an adult ticket for that tour, you will still need to purchase a separate adult ticket for this event (unless your 9th-12th grader is a "DROP OFF" participant), as tickets are specific to each tour.
*9th-12 graders have the option to participate in this field trip as a "DROP-OFF" field trip without an accompanying adult.
STEM comes to life at Knott’s Berry Farm! Our Energy in Motion tour breaks down the creative and mechanical engineering behind Knott’s Berry Farm’s various rides and attractions. Your students will gain a greater understanding of the science behind roller coasters and they will have the opportunity to discuss subjects such a centrifugal force, mass, inertia, and more while they experience how each concept relates to our rides. Students will be led by a personal tour guide on a 2-hour tour, followed by a fun time in the park.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
Please note that during school field trips and other school-sponsored community events, photos and videos may be taken where students could appear in group settings. While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
