Event Series: Field Trip

(PLA) Columbia Memorial Space Center Guided Tour

This event is for TK-12th grade PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult.

Visit the Columbia Memorial Space Center, built on a former NASA site, for a docent-led tour! This experience is approximately two hours in length and includes the exploration of two interactive exhibit floors that progivde engaging insights into Space Shuttle operations, living and working on the International Space Station, exploration of our solar system, aerospace engineering, and the range of fields of study and jobs related to human and robotic space exploration. Students also participate in an interactive STEM activity, and a programming and coding lesson in the Robotics Lab. Through world-class programs and engaging exhibits, the Space Center strives to ignite a community of critical and creative thinkers.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.
