This event is for K-5th grade PLA students and their families. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
Learn about frogs and butterflies with Farmer Jones! We'll begin with a hands-on lesson and then enjoy a garden exploration together. The Alta Vista Botanical Gardens include 14 acres on a hillside with plants, sculptures, and water features including turtles! After the field trip, families are welcome to have lunch and explore the Children's Garden. See the website for more information.

Tickets can be purchased out of pocket or with Instructional Funds (for Sage Oak students). Purchasing with Instructional Funds: Please verify with your student’s teacher/EA that your student has sufficient instructional funds available for this purchase. We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases. Please read the field trip description carefully. If an accompanying adult ticket is required, be sure to claim an adult ticket. If student/sibling tickets are claimed without accompanying adult tickets, we are not able to provide refunds for canceled student/sibling tickets.

While we make every effort to respect media preferences, students may sometimes be captured in the background or within group shots in public spaces. If your child does not have media consent on file, they will not be the main focus of any photo or video. We do not highlight or identify individuals without prior consent.
