Shucked is a hilarious Broadway musical comedy set in the small, corn-dependent town of Cob County, where the townspeople must find a way to save their livelihood when their corn crop starts dying. A spunky young woman, Maizy, leaves her isolated community to find a "corn doctor" in the big city, encountering a charming but dishonest podiatrist who claims to be that doctor. The show features a country-infused score by Nashville songwriters Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally, a book by Tony Award-winner Robert Horn, and is filled with corn-related puns and double entendres, making it a "farm-to-fable" musical that explores themes of unity and preserving one's way of life. Run Time: Two hours and 15 minutes, including one intermission. Age Recommendation: Recommended for ages 10+. SHUCKED contains adult themes, moments of adult language and a harvest of corny innuendo.
