Spark Squad Circuit Explorers

In Spark Squad, students discover how circuit boards power the devices they use every day through fun, age‑appropriate lessons and projects! They’ll learn the basics of current, voltage, and components like resistors, capacitors, LEDs, and switches using clear, real‑world examples. The course combines short, guided mini‑lessons with interactive, inquiry‑based challenges that build STEM habits of mind. Each student will work with an online circuit simulator to design, test, and troubleshoot their own circuits. By the end of the class, learners will be able to read basic circuit diagrams, explain how common components function, and iterate on designs to solve small engineering problems. This class fosters curiosity, problem‑solving, and confidence with foundational electronics that prepare students for more advanced maker and robotics work!

This course will be taught by a college student instructor who will be utilizing higher education content and tailoring it to the middle school level.  Upon receipt of enrollment requests, our Oakschool team will determine if this class is suitable for your child’s needs and learning plan. Separate enrollments for each quarter is required.
