In Fantasy Football Statistics Lab, middle school students will explore the exciting world of fantasy football while learning important math and statistics skills. They will collect and analyze player performance data to make smart decisions about their fantasy teams. Students will learn how to calculate averages, percentages, and probabilities to predict outcomes and improve their chances of winning. The class will include fun activities like creating player rankings, comparing stats, and tracking weekly game results. Students will also develop critical thinking by evaluating different strategies and understanding risk versus reward. Throughout the course, they will use real-world data to practice problem-solving and data interpretation. By the end, students will have stronger math skills and a deeper understanding of how statistics influence sports.
*This enrollment and class will take place over Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 for the whole semester. This course will be taught by a college student instructor who will be utilizing higher education content and tailoring it to the middle school level. Upon receipt of enrollment requests, our Oakschool team will determine if this class is suitable for your child’s needs and learning plan.
