This vibrant cooking class takes students on a culinary journey around the world, exploring diverse flavors and cooking techniques from different cultures. Learners will prepare authentic dishes inspired by regions such as Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Each session combines hands-on cooking with lessons about cultural traditions and ingredient origins, enriching students’ understanding of global cuisine. Students will develop essential kitchen skills like chopping, seasoning, and cooking methods while practicing safe and hygienic habits. Creativity and experimentation are encouraged as learners adapt recipes to their own tastes and presentation styles. The class fosters appreciation for cultural diversity through food, promoting curiosity and respect. By the end, students will have a rich recipe collection and the confidence to recreate international dishes at home! (This class will consist of different recipes from prior years. No common household or food items may be purchased using Instructional Funds for this class.)
