Step into the world of Chicken Run and Wallace & Gromit in this hands-on clay animation class, perfect for creative 6th–8th graders! You’ll sculpt your own expressive characters, design sets, and use stop-motion techniques to turn simple movements into animated magic. Learn how to craft compelling stories, animate frame by frame, and bring your scenes to life with sound, editing, and special effects. Throughout the process, we’ll hold group critique sessions to help you refine your work and elevate your storytelling. Work solo or team up with classmates as you problem-solve, edit, and add finishing touches to your animated short. By the end of the class, you’ll debut your own claymation film—packed with personality and polished to perfection! *Please note this course takes place twice a week for a full semester. Students need access to a still camera.
