Using watercolors and pen, you’ll learn the basics of character design, visual storytelling, and book layout. Whether you’re dreaming up a whimsical coloring book, an alphabet adventure, a cookbook, or a heartfelt children’s story or an illustrated short story—this class is your creative launchpad. Throughout the year, you’ll write, illustrate, edit, and design your book using Canva’s easy tools. Group critique and editing sessions help refine your work, and by the end, you’ll have a book of your very own you can choose to have professionally printed after the class is completed. We’ll celebrate with a “book release party” to showcase your finished masterpiece.
