Literacy
One of the most gratifying things about finishing a novel is watching the film. Many people find that books are often better because we hold the responsibility of painting pictures of the text using our imaginations. When we watch a film, we may be found wanting more because the picture is already painted for us.

This can be a great topic of discussion for students and motivation for them to read more novels associated with films. Engage them by providing graphic organizers to spark meaningful discussions on books vs. movies!

Math
Have you ever wanted to try Sudoku, but been intimidated by all the numbers and grids? Click below for a fun and easy way to get used to the format with colors and candy! Ease into the game with easy-to-hard grids and practice your logic and problem-solving skills along the way.

Science
Beware of all those extra summer treats! Eating popsicles, s’mores, and candy all summer long might leave you with a toothache! Click below for a fascinating eggs-periment about how sugar and bacteria wear away healthy tooth enamel.
