Dewey Awards - Nominate a Teacher Students are invited to submit the story of a teacher that impacted their life. Submit your written (minimum of 300 words) or video (minimum 3 minutes) story entry byFriday, October 28th, 2022.Three stories will be selected by our review board to each receive a $1,000 grant, awarded to the charter school of their choice.

4th-8th Graders Sage Oak Poets @ 10 am Learn more about the weight and power of words as a Sage Oak Poet. We will write in multiple forms—including Blackout and Slam—as well as explore poetry in music. Supplies Needed:Pen & Paper (We will be exploring and writing different forms of poetry, including Blackout, Slam, and music lyrics)
TK-3rd Graders Nature and Art @ 11 am Each meeting we will be creating a piece of art using simple supplies that can be found at home or in nature. Supplies Needed:Pencil, white paper, markers
Sage Stage- Kids Cooking Table We heard your feedback! We are bringing you a cooking show! Join us on the Sage Stage Friday, October 7th at 9:00 am for a virtual cooking lesson. We will be learning how to make spiced pumpkin cupcakes. You will have so much fun learning a delicious fall recipe that you can make on your own at home after the show.

The President’s Education Award Program (PEAP) Sage Oak is proud to offer our 5th, 8th, and 12th graders the opportunity to be recognized through The President’s Education Award Program (PEAP).
The President’s Award for Education is awarded to students earning high-level academic success and The President’s Award for Educational Achievement honors students who show outstanding educational growth. If you would like more information please contact your teacher.
President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) Once again, Sage Oak is excited to be partnering with the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). We are proud to be a certifying organization with PVSA which provides the opportunity to honor our students that have made great efforts to embrace Sage Oak’s core value of service.
Last year we had over 50 students participate, and they logged over 5,000 service hours. We are looking forward to seeing the many ways our students will serve their communities again this year!
This year our PVSA award timeframe will run fromMay 1st, 2022 until April 30th, 2023. We will be recognizing all award recipients at our end of the year Socials.
