Sage Oak Stakeholder Survey Parents & Students

As we navigate the new legislative requirements, we would like to take this opportunity to hear from important stakeholders at Sage Oak. We have created a quick five-question survey to gather feedback regarding what you value most about Sage Oak and your hopes and concerns about the state requiring independent study schools like Sage Oak to provide live, daily instruction for all students.

Your feedback is important to us! We encourage you and your students to take a moment to fill out the survey. If you would like to participate, please complete the survey by Friday, November 5, 2021. After we compile your responses, we will host live discussion sessions for those that wish to participate further in the conversation.

Lunabotics Junior Contest
NASA Lunabotics Junior Challenges Students to Design Moon-Digging Robots

NASA seeks young engineers to help design a new robot for an excavation mission on the Moon. The Lunabotics Junior Contest, open to K-12 students in U.S. public, private, and homeschools, starts accepting entries on Wednesday, October 20th, and runs through Tuesday, January 25, 2022

The competition, which is a collaboration between NASA and Future Engineers, asks students to design a robot that digs and moves lunar soil called regolith from an area of the lunar south pole to a holding container near a future Artemis Moonbase. Students will create at least one drawing of your robot’s design (e.g., original work of art, 3D model, diagram, or photo of a prototype, etc.) and a written summary that explains your robot’s design in 150 words or less. Students may sign up at the Lunabotics Junior Contest website.
