High school students at Sage Oak have the opportunity to enroll and participate in community college classes online or in-person at a community college near you. Students can enroll in up to 11 units per semester and will receive both high school and college credit.

  • Be better prepared for college-level English and math
  • Plan to earn a community college associate degree and a high school diploma
  • Build academic and technical skills, acquire industry credentials, and participate in professional preparation
  • Ease their transition to college and enhance their chances of success

What is the enrollment process?

While the concurrent enrollment process for each community college may have some unique features, in general, most include these steps below. Concurrent enrollment limits high school students to only enroll in a maximum of 11 units at community colleges to ensure they are not considered full-time college students.

  1. Create an account on CCCApply and apply to the community college.
  2. Get your acceptance to the community college along with your college ID #
  3. Fill out the concurrent enrollment form with your personal information and the specific class(es) you are hoping to enroll in.
  4. Submit to Sage Oak for approval (NOTE: be sure to let your EA know you are interested in a college class! They have to submit an approval form to ensure your concurrent form can be approved.) Some colleges may also require a transcript, health form or other paperwork be submitted.
    • Send concurrent enrollment PDF forms to your EA to submit for signature
    • Send electronic enrollment forms to highschool@sageoak.education for signature
  5. Submit all forms to the college and check your college email for approval.
  6. Once high school students have been approved for concurrent enrollment, they can register for the classes on the college portal and pay any required fees.

NOTE: While most community colleges waive the per-unit fees for high school students, some do not. Other schools may waive the per unit fee but still require a health or student services fee that must be paid by the student.
