Oakschool Quarter 3
Enrollment for our Oakschool courses for Quarter 3 (January 30th - March 30th) is well underway and we have had an excellent response so far!

Oakschool provides an amazing array of engaging enrichment and core courses for TK-8th grade students.  Courses span a nine-week period and course fees are deducted from students' instructional fund accounts. Quarter 3 classes and descriptions can be viewed in the Catalog and on the Master Schedule. Virtual Learning Academy students may enroll in Oakschool classes that take place on Mondays.

Enrollment forms opened last week and classes are being filled on a first come, first serve basis.  Please utilize the appropriate form for your student’s program: PLA FORM / VLA FORM

We would appreciate it if all Sage Oak parents took the time to complete the Oakschool survey linked below at your earliest convenience. This will help us gather feedback from both current and prospective Oakschool families.

High School 1st Semester End Dates
Please note that the end of 1st semester for high school is Friday, January 27th. All projects, assignments, final exams, and honors modules must be submitted by 11:59 pm that day. During the week of January 23rd, students will be sent Canvas invites for their new classes to accept and will also need to register for the spring live session Zooms. Second semester classes will begin Monday, January 30th!

Counseling Corner
Sage Oak counselors offer a variety of student and parent resources. For example, in last week’s Parent Workshop, parents learned different types of motivation, strategies to motivate their children, and how to set S.M.A.R.T. goals. A recording of this workshop and past parent workshops is available on our website

Additionally, we will offer new counseling classes for our students beginning next quarter:
Social-Emotional Learning: Our SEL class will focus on social awareness and relationship skills. Students will learn the importance of understanding the thoughts and feelings of others. We will focus on active listening, getting along with others, disagreeing respectfully, and showing empathy. Students in grades TK-8 can click here to register.
Executive Functioning: Does your child need some help jump-starting their second-semester coursework? In this class, we will talk about planning, staying organized, and how we can help students manage their time, set goals, and reflect on their learning. Students in grades 3-8 can click here to register.
Career Exploration: This middle school class is a fantastic introduction to career planning! Students will complete an interest profiler and investigate future careers. They will learn about different higher education options and become more purposeful in finding meaningful experiences and activities to support their future goals. Students in grades 6-8 can click here to register.
