K-2nd Grade Cultivate and Create Winner Spotlight
In our first annual Cultivate and Create event, Kindergartener, Kyrie Inman won our K-2nd grade category for her choreographed dance performance "Whatever Profession You Choose, Be the One to Make the World a Better Place."

She writes, “Be whatever you want to be, but be the one to help your school, community, and the world. The ball is in your court.” Take a minute to let Kyrie inspire you to #BetheOne by watching her project.

New Year, New Field Trips
The next field trip release will be January 16th at 8:00 am - January 17th at 5:00 pm. Please take a moment to review the Field Trip Policies at a Glance, and create or sign in to your account ahead of time to avoid technical problems when signing up the morning of.

8th Grade Transition to High School Survey
As we start this new year and look ahead to the 2020-2021 school year, our secondary education department would like to make the transition for our 8th-grade students to high school as smooth as possible.

Math Matters
A new year is often accompanied by reflection in past practice and how we can improve and grow over the coming year. This month, our math newsletter focuses on error analysis, reflection on errors that are made in problem-solving and the learning and growth that can take place in this process. National School Choice Week
National School Choice Week is coming up the week of January 26 - February 1, 2020. School Choice Week recognizes all K-12 options, including all public schools, public charter schools, private schools, online academies, and homeschooling. This year, we are hosting an essay contest! To participate in our School Choice Week contest, choose one of the following prompts and write up to one-page about why Sage Oak is special to you!
  • What are your three favorite things about Sage Oak?
  • What do you love most about the community at Sage Oak?
  • What is a favorite memory you have at Sage Oak?
  • How has Sage Oak benefited your school experience and/or your time outside of school?
Essays must be submitted by Monday, January 27, 2020. Click the button below to submit. Winners will receive a social media shout out and their essay will be shared on social media and in the Sage News.
