We’d like to take a moment and draw your attention to the fabulous NGSS resources we have for our students and families. The NGSS videos and newsletters provide amazing tips and ideas, while the guides for grades K-8 help define performance expectations by grouping them into “bundles” to streamline learning, while also providing curriculum suggestions and resources to teach these concepts.

Gizmos and Science 4 Us Webinars
The week before Thanksgiving Break, Explore Learning hosted two webinars on Gizmos and Science 4 Us. Below are recordings of the two webinars for you to view and learn more about these programs. Please contact your teacher if you are interested in a subscription for your student and you don’t already have one.

STEM Day
Calling all scientists and engineers! Students in all grades, TK-12, are invited to participate in the Science Fair at this year’s STEM Day on February 4th, 2020.  If you have a student who loves science and engineering, this is a great time for them to share their interests! If you have any questions, please email your TF or EA.

Secondary Education Announcements

  • Sage Oak has partnered with Mr. D for a live-online SAT prep course for the second semester! Students can earn 5 units for the course and it would prepare them for the SAT on May 2nd. Please contact your EA to register.
  • Students who took the PSAT in October will receive an email from the College Board tomorrow on Tuesday, December 10th notifying them that their scores are available!
