High School

Sage Oak offers a wide variety of high school opportunities that will provide students with the skills and tools to excel academically, to pursue their unique interests and to be ready to meet the challenges and opportunities in the 21st-century economy.   Our guidance staff is available to assist you at your request!  

Sage Oak’s guidance assistant director is directly available to parents and students. Workshops are available for parents and students throughout the year that will include career and education planning as well as a question and answer sessions. High School Graduation Requirements

  • 40 credits English
  • 30 credits math (algebra 1 and higher)
  • 30 credits history (world, US and econ/gov)
  • 20 credits science (life and physical science)
  • 20 credits physical education
  • 10 credits VAPA (visual and performing arts)
  • 5 credits Career and College Exploration
  • 65 credits electives
  • 220 credits total

Career Technical Education: 

Sage Oak is offering many CTE Courses. Guidance and CTE Coordinator, Traci King, will answer any questions you may have. Please email Traci at tking@sageoak.education
  • Provides a setting for students to integrate core subject matter
  • Heightens awareness of career opportunities
  • Prepares students for further certification and/or degrees
  • Orientates students to their local Community College Campus
  • Embraces the 21st Century Skills movement and focuses curricular offerings around problem solving and collaboration

National Honor Society 

National Honor Society is now open. Students in grades 10-12 are recommended by their EAs. The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of academics (unweighted 3.0 GPA or higher), leadership, service, and character.

High School Parent Webinars 

The Guidance Department is hosting a High School for Parents webinar every Friday morning from 8:30-9:00.  This webinar is intended for new and middle school parents.  Please sign up using this link.
