This class, led by a college instructor, is specially designed for students eager to bring their imaginations to life on the screen. In this hands-on course, students will learn the fundamentals of scriptwriting, discovering the art of crafting compelling stories, dialogue, and characters. Through engaging activities and exercises, budding writers will develop their unique voices and storytelling skills. Next, from understanding camera angles and framing shots to exploring the basics of editing, participants will gain practical skills to turn their scripts into captivating visual narratives. By the end of the course, each student will have their own mini-movie to showcase their newfound talents!
This course will be taught by a college student instructor who will be utilizing higher education content and tailoring it to the middle school level. Upon receipt of enrollment requests, our Oakschool team will determine if this advanced class is suitable for your child’s needs and learning plan. This course will be provided at no additional cost of Instructional Funds. Separate enrollments for each quarter is required.
