This event is for Sage Oak students and families. Students must be accompanied by an adult.
Your day will begin with a docent-led tour concentrating on our rotating exhibits and art appreciation, as well as the history of our 1929 National Historic building designed by Hearst Castle and AIA Gold Medal-winning architect, Julia Morgan. As well as a tour of our newest Center, The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture! One of the world’s foremost collectors of Chicano art, The Cheech will be the “center of Chicano art, not only for painting, but for sculpture, photography, and video arts.”
Following the tour, an art lesson will include art history based on the Cheech Marin Collection and then application of their style to create original student artwork.

We are not able to provide alternative payment options if there are insufficient funds and we are not able to refund any accompanying out-of-pocket ticket purchases.
Suggested Grade Levels: K-8th
***The program is for students K and above. Younger siblings may attend with parents, however they will still need to purchase tickets and will not be able to participate in the classroom portions of the program.
