Your guided educational tour will be 60-90 minutes in length and include an introduction to the farm, discussion on where our  food comes from, and our food print.   Tour will also cover polyculture vs. monoculture farming, soil amendment,  pest control, urban farming and sustainable animal care.  Students will also have the opportunity to work hands on in the garden to accomplish a  task to help them become more aware of where their food comes from and connect their role as a "locavore", one who consumes from and preserves the local food economy. We will discuss what local food is and its impact on local economy, health, environment, and community. We will also address each stage of food production on our farm – from seed selection to consumption. Students will experience feeding the animals, visit the petting zoo, milk a cow and groom a horse.

This program is for High School students only.
