Welcome Back Message - April 14, 2020
Dear Sage Oak Community,
Welcome back from spring break! We hope you had an opportunity to rest and reflect and spend quality time with your families uninterrupted. Sage Oak resumes with the commitment to continue to serve our families with distance learning options during this time of closure. Our teachers are available to support you with your optional academic plans, digital resources, and activities to further your children’s learning. We encourage our students and families to progress with your educational plans as much as possible to maintain a continuity of learning that benefits academic development and social-emotional health.
We are excited to announce that our teachers are working hard at planning virtual enrichment classes that will be open to all Sage Oak families and interested families outside of our community. Our Sage Oak teachers will be hosting classes covering multiple subjects and grade levels. We will announce class descriptions and provide details about sign-ups in Monday’s Sage News.
While we are all at a statewide level continuing to participate in the Safer-at-Home mandate, we understand that many of you are faced with new challenges at work, home, and with your families and loved ones. While we do hope that as a non-classroom based charter school, the impact of the closure is minimal to your student’s learning, we also hope that this time provides you with the needed flexibility to take care of yourselves, your families, and loved ones - even if it’s from a distance.
Please continue to stay safe, healthy, and positive.
