37 Techniques to Calm the Anxious Child
Childhood can be an anxious time for some. Every day kids are tasked to learn new things, navigate relationships, and overcome challenges and fears. For young minds, these tasks may sometimes feel overwhelming and anxiety-producing.

While everyone experiences anxiety from time-to-time, if you feel your child’s anxiety is overwhelming or all-consuming, please reach out to our School Counselor, Allie Whalen, at awhalen@sageoak.education or your child’s pediatrician for additional help and resources.

Math Matters
In this month’s issue of Math Matters, we highlighted an inspiring TEDx Talk on the Five Principles of Extraordinary Math Instruction by Dan Finkel in which the last principle inspires us to allow students to play with math. Einstein said that “play is the highest form of research." We encourage our families to play alongside your children. Perhaps you can explore the math games Prime Climb or Tiny Polka Dots?
