COVID-19 Update #2: March 13, 2020
Hello Sage Oak Community,
As you may have heard, many large school districts in the regions we serve have decided to close their schools in response to new information received from our state and national leaders and public health departments regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Based on this new information, Sage Oak will serve its students virtually, whenever possible, effective immediately until further notice. Learning period meetings, special education services, and staff meetings will remain as scheduled and should be held virtually when at all possible. This situation is evolving minute by minute, and we will continue to update our plan and to communicate those updates as decisions are made.
We understand that this may be an uneasy time for most, as changes to our daily life are happening hour by hour. The Sage Oak team is consistently meeting to review local agency updates and guidelines. We are also working on an at-home learning resource document that will provide our families and the general public with free learning activities that can be implemented to maintain a continuity of learning for students that have been affected by community closures. The World Health Organization has also provided a great resource for helping children cope with stress during this time.
The Sage Oak team will keep our community updated with any changes as they become available.
