COVID-19 Response Plan: School Reopening Guidance

March 5, 2021

Dear Sage Oak Community,

Due to recent changes in how the state is determining when schools can re-open, we wanted to give an update on Sage Oak’s plan for when families will be able to use their in-person community providers and start meeting with their teacher for in-person learning period meetings.

Community Providers
If you reside in a county where community provider services are still restricted to virtual-only, you will be able to start receiving in-person services once your county moves to a less restrictive tier, which will align with when the state allows all K-12 schools to re-open for in-person instruction.

In-Person Gatherings - Learning Period Meetings
Because Sage Oak does not have a physical campus, we have decided to wait until there is greater availability of open community meeting places (eg. libraries or coffee shops) before offering in-person school gatherings.

Please refer to Sage Oak’s response plan in order to track your county’s placement. We continue to monitor the state’s Blueprint weekly and, as always, will promptly communicate any changes in county placement with all families and staff.
